This was a peculiar transaction. I’ve never thought to look at stringing for vintage Indian turquoise. I’ve collected for over 30 years and it’s consistently wire strung. This was silk strung and the shop owner would not adjust the price even after I said I’d be paying to have it restrung. That cost was an additional $50. Ugh. Won’t shop here again. The turquoise is beautiful. It just wasn’t worth her price because silk against turquoise is a disaster waiting to happen.
